Binge Watching on Internet Television Networks: Effects on Youth

There is increased trend of binge watching on the Internet Television Network (ITN) among youth has gained notable scholarly interest in studying this new concept. Limited studies, however, have focused effects youth. With its theoretical foundations Uses and gratifications theory Model antecedents consequences Binge Watching, our study was an attempt to fill gap. The major objectives included exploration consumption patterns watching. Data self-perceived physical, psychological social collected (N=500). results discovered a high ratio ITN at late night. reported reason avoid disturbance interruption. needs included, companionship, stress-relief, escapism, diversion acceptance. A significant association between also found which demands grave prompt concern stakeholders including parents, policy makers owners.
